The Völkl Mantra 84 W is designed for sporty female skiers who love carving groomers but want the freedom to explore beyond the piste when conditions invite it. With a renewed shape and an all-mountain mindset, this ski delivers a confident, playful feel that excels on firm snow while remaining composed in variable terrain. Völkl’s 3D Radius Sidecut makes turn initiation easy and intuitive, allowing for quick, controlled arcs underfoot and smooth, stable turns at higher speeds thanks to longer radii in the tip and tail. The innovative Tailored Carbon Tips further refine the ride by placing carbon fibers precisely where they’re needed, boosting stability and responsiveness without adding weight. The result is a ski that feels light and energetic, can be pushed hard with minimal effort, and offers impressive on-piste performance with the versatility to venture off groomed runs whenever the mood strikes.

Multilayer Woodcore
Intended for aggressive on-piste and racing use, Volkl’s Multilayer Woodcore features a sidewall that’s laminated to extremely stable layers of wood on the sides of the sandwich core. The hardwood immediately adjacent to the sidewall delivers higher power transmission, improves edge grip, and supports the edge against external forces. The softer wood in the middle of the ski brings more agility and maneuverability and reduces overall ski weight. The combination of both wood types running through the entire ski length contributes to an optimal distribution of the ski stiffness and increases the steering precision.
Tailored Carbon Tips & Tails
Carbon fiber is integrated through a stitching process instead of uniform sheets. This way their orientation and strength meet the functional requirements of each part of the ski. As the tip and the tail are the most influential sections on a ski the carbon fibres are concentrated exactly in these areas. As a result the power transmission is extremely precise and lively, and energy is accessible with minimal effort.
Tailored Titanal Frame
Volkl’s Tailored Titanal Frame provides an incomparable combination of agility and high-speed control. The width of the titanal frame is adapted exactly to each individual ski length and sits above the sidewall along the tip and tail area to provide the desired damping and torsional stiffness. The size of the frame is tailored to the ski length, so longer ski models have a higher titanal content for more stiffness, more direct power transmission, and stronger damping. Shorter-length skis have less titanal content, so that smaller, lighter, and less powerful skiers can use the full potential performance of the ski.
3D Radius Sidecut
3D Radius Sidecut utilizes three radii in one ski shape to deliver maximum versatility—any turn, any shape, at any speed. Long radii at the tip and tail provide stability and smoothness, while a short radius in the mid-body allows the skier to switch from long arcs to shorts turns at will, at any speed.
Tip & Tail Rocker
Volkl’s Tip & Tail Rocker bends up only in the shovel and tail zones. Camber underfoot ensures edge contact through the length of the ski. Tip & Tail Rocker provides easy-in/easy-out turning on hardpack and enhanced floatation in soft snow.
