Our Experts will take the time to adjust air pressure of the suspension system to your body weight and riding style to give you a personalized ride. Electric Mountain Bike

With an e-mountain bike, you can ride farther and higher with an electric assist. Featuring the same comfortable and capable geometry of our other mountain bike rental options, our e-mountain bikes from Scott and Specialized reduce the burn as your reach for new trails.

There is a limited amount of e-bike friendly singletrack around Park City. Due to many of Park City’s trails crossing a mix of public and private land, e-bikes are heavily restricted. However, e-bikes are allowed in Wasatch State Park which includes the venerable Wasatch Over Wasatch (WOW) trail, one of the best climbs or descents in the area. Upon pickup, be sure to discuss where you can ride your e-mountain bike with one of our employees.

Mountain Bike - Kid's

Junior shredders are going to love our fleet of kids’ mountain bikes. Built from sturdy aluminum, these bikes are great for exploring a variety of Park City’s trails and are built to handle some heavy abuse. And because safety is important, our Expert mechanics inspect them daily to be sure they are in good working order.

As a rule, the smaller the bike, the simpler it is. As bikes increase in size, hand brakes and gears are added for more advanced riders. With wheel sizes of 20 inches and 24 inches, we have a mountain bike for kids of all sizes and ability levels.

Comfort Bike

In addition to miles of singletrack, Park City also boasts an impressive amount of paved and gravel paths perfectly suited for leisurely riding. Jans’ fleet of comfort bikes provides a wide range of gearing in a relaxed, more upright body position that is perfect for easy pedaling and cruising.

Comfort bikes are considered the cruiser bikes of the mountains – you need their gears to get up hills, even when you’re just riding around town. Smooth bike paths provide easy access to our three world-class ski resorts, Kimball Junction, Old Town, and a variety of Park City neighborhoods. Seeing the sites like the historic McPolin Barn, the Park City Museum and the Swaner Nature Center is fun and enjoyable when done on a comfort bike.

Ideal for the numerous bike paths around town, tag-a-longs are an easy way to get the whole family out on a ride.

Please Note: Due to compatibility restraints, the Tag-A-Long rental is only available for use with our Comfort Bike rentals. If you would like to use a personal bike, please keep in mind that the Tag-A-Long is not intended for use with dropper posts or carbon seat posts.

Fat Bike (Winter Only)

Park City offers a lot more than just skiing in the winter. Many of the summer trails are still open and groomed for snowshoeing, Nordic skiing and even fat biking. Jans added fat bikes to our rental fleet, allowing our customers to take advantage of the winter trail system. With their large, voluminous tires, wide gear ranges, and hydraulic disc brakes, our fat bikes will ensure that you’ll have no trouble tackling firm, snow-covered singletrack. Most importantly, fat bike rentals are maintained daily to ensure they’re in proper working order every time you ride.

Our Experts recommend that you start your fat bike ride on the groomed Rail Trail, right out the door from our White Pine Touring location. The Rail Trail has a mellow 2% grade and leads straight into the multi-use Round Valley trail network. Here you will find a wide variety of fun singletrack and groomed Nordic trails.

Gold Level Ride Center

Park City is the only Gold Level Ride Center in Utah—as designated by the International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA). This honor was awarded because of the facilities around town, the variety and quantity of trails, and most importantly, the exceptional quality of riding. While Park City is a great place to take a mountain bike vacation, it’s easy to get overwhelmed with so many great trail options available. For the inside scoop on how to get the most out of the miles and miles of trails, check out our blogs or contact someone in store.

Bring Your Own Components

We understand that for experienced riders, familiar contact points with your bike are key to comfort and performance. As such, we are happy to install personal pedals, grips, and saddles on any rental bike, as long as they’re compatible, so you can ride with the familiarity of your bike back home. If you have any additional questions, please email us at parentals@jans.com.
