Nordic Ski Lessons

Come learn the ease and grace of classic cross-country skiing or the power and speed of skate skiing with one of our Expert instructors. Cross country skiing is easy to learn, but difficult to master. By taking advantage of a group or private lesson, you can increase your efficiency and enjoyment of the sport. One word of caution: the fun factor is high enough that you just might become addicted to our 20K of groomed track. Please call the Experts at the White Pine Nordic Center at (435) 649-6249 for more information.

Many of our instructors are former NCAA and professional athletes and are certified in their respective fields. Whether you’re looking to refine your technique or dive into something completely new, our Experts will help you elevate your skills to boost your confidence out on the track, trail, or river.

AIARE Avalanche Courses

In the central Wasatch Mountain Range, we love to explore the incredible terrain beyond the resort boundaries. But we can’t stress the importance of avalanche education enough. Designed for professionals and aspiring backcountry users, our AIARE level 1, Rescue 2, and Pro avalanche courses will provide you with the knowledge and insight to more safely explore backcountry terrain. Considered to be the largest and the best in the West, and led by professional guides with multiple years of experience, our avalanche courses include two full days of fieldwork at a private ranch where the powder is plentiful and the views are epic.

500 Years Of Expertise

There’s a popular hypothesis that it takes 10,000 hours to master a skill at an expert level. By that measure, the collective experience of our Experts represents mastering our sports many times over. We have also mastered the craft of being able to help you get the most from your mountain recreation. The Experts at Jans and White Pine Touring have over 500 years of combined experience among our core staff. Whether it’s a lesson with one of our skilled instructors, a private tour with an experienced guide, or advice on choosing the right gear, you can count on our Experts for your mountain recreation.
