Fully taped seams, fixed snow gaiters, and cut protection inside the legs ensure reliable weather and safety performance. Adjustable waistband, ventilations, and YKK® AquaGuard® zippers on pockets and vents add functionality, while suspender loops make them easy to pair with additional layering.
Textiles in the outdoor sector are usually treated with PFCs (polifluorinated chemicals) to make them water and oil-repellent. These chemicals are controversial because of their harmful effects on human health and the environment. Head tries to avoid them wherever possible.
Based on the skier’s requirements HEAD developed its own membrane – the IAM Membrane (Intelligent Apparel Membrane). The developers concentrated on achieving the perfect combination of elasticity, eliminating restrictions where outer material is concerned, and easy washability. Seams are a weak point on clothing where moisture and wind can penetrate. That is why the seams on the inside of our products are sealed with tape. This tape is machine-welded onto the seam and closes it completely.
