What is PHANTOM Glide?

PHANTOM Glide is a one-time base treatment that reduces friction in polyethylene bases for skis and snowboards. It’s eco-friendly, long-lasting, consistent, and simple to maintain. Apply once and experience smooth glide for the lifetime of your skis or snowboard. PHANTOM Glide does not contain harmful chemicals like PFAS or fluorocarbons.

How Does PHANTOM Glide Work?

PHANTOM Glide works by permanently bonding to the base of your skis or snowboard through a UV-activated treatment process.

  • Application: PHANTOM Glide is applied to the base of your skis or snowboard in a liquid form. The very small molecular weight and low-viscosity liquid allow it to penetrate the polyethylene base material, ensuring even coverage and penetration.
  • UV Activation: After application, the treatment is exposed to UV light using a PHANTOM Glide Curing Station. This UV exposure activates the chemical bonding process, causing the treatment to permanently fuse with the base material.
  • Permanent Bond: Once activated, PHANTOM Glide forms a permanent bond with the base of your skis or snowboard. This bond is durable and resilient, meaning it won’t wear off like traditional topical wax.
  • Enhanced Performance: The result is a base that offers superior glide performance across all snow conditions, without the need for reapplication. The treatment is designed to work in a wide range of temperatures and snow types, providing consistent, smooth rides.
