What to Bring

  • Extra layer or rain protection for inclement weather
  • Tennis shoes and socks or bike shoes
  • Sun protection (sunscreen and sunglasses)
  • Water to stay hydrated and light snacks
  • Personal pedals, cycling shoes and bike gloves (optional)
  • Biking shorts (optional)

About This Lesson

A MTB 101 lesson is a gateway into the world of mountain biking. Our Expert instructors will explain the ins and outs of how your bike is going to function on the trail. Once you are comfortable with the functionality of your shifting, suspension, and brakes, we’ll guide you to the vast Round Valley system. Round Valley combines rolling climbs with a variety of beginner-to-intermediate obstacles that help you develop the core skills needed for mountain biking. All lessons begin and end at White Pine Touring.

(Full-suspension mountain bike rental included.)
