All Mountain Rocker
Stockli uses this profile design in their all-mountain skis to make them easier to turn with a hint of playfulness. Skis with All Mountain Rocker are ideal for less-than-pristine pistes, heavy spring snow, and for off-piste terrain.
Tip and Tail Flex
Stockli’s Tip and Tail Flex technology features two S-shaped notches at the front and rear of the titanal, which gives the ski a slightly softer flex and more supple torsion. This enables more comfortable, effortless skiing because the ski flexes more easily and the torsion adapts to the skiing style.
Solid Metal Edge Light
The same edge thickness as Stockli’s Solid Metal Edge (SME), but the edge is not as thickly built into the ski. The result is a lighter edge that is still more durable than traditional edges, helping prolong the lifespan of the ski.
Adaptive Contact Length (ACL)
ACL is the combination of Stockli’s Full Edge Contact (FEC) and Tip and Tail Rocker technologies. ACL provides a greater edge angle, which means more of the edge is in contact with the snow, for more grip and stability through the turn. The playful feel of the ski remains without needing to forgo stability.
Full Edge Contact (FEC)
The shortest distance between two points is a straight line; and a curved line is more distance. The concept applies to ski edges also—the wider the curve, the longer the ski edge. FEC construction features wider shovel dimensions (plus a wider tail on GS models) for a more pronounced sidecut producing longer edge contact length. That means faster initiation and enhanced grip through the full turn.
Tail Rocker (TR)
Tail Rocker is a revised design of Stockli’s ski tail bend—now offering a longer bend and flatter radius than previous iterations. The increased length of the tail rocker results in a more playful feel, while the flatter radius provides enhanced grip when edging.
Softflex (SF)
Softflex is Stockli’s women’s-optimized flex in the tip of the ski that allows for smoother turn initiation and reduced swing weight, without sacrificing stability at higher speeds.
